[ reki nuzzles against his throat, breathing him in softly. ]

Yeah? [ he'd never really been all that curious about it — after all, why would he be? his regular orgasms are good on their own — but with reki, he finds himself not only intrigued but eager to explore things.

he wraps his arms a little tighter, snuggling reki close. ]

[ reki snickers and happily nestles in closer, pressing a softly lingering kiss to qi fang's jaw. ]

[ but doing any of that means letting go of reki, and that seems near impossible to do right now. reki hasn't made any moves, so why should he? his weight is a warm, comforting one, and not something he's eager to give up unless he really has to. ]

[ well. neither of them are moving, so reki works a hand loose from between them and reaches up to run his fingers through qi fang's hair. (after he covertly works this fucking hair tie off, ofc.) ]

[ a small frown twitches on his lips when he feels his fringe fall around his eyes, but it's more in observation than actually being displeased by it. he's reaching behind reki now to spoon himself another bite of curry, suddenly remembering its existence. ]

What's up?

[ almost there. reki gives it a good touseling and yeah, perfect. it isn't often you can catch reki purring without something shoved inside him; this is one of the few exceptions. ]

You look fine as hell like this.

[tongxue]

[ qi fang pauses midway to getting that spoon to his mouth, glancing down at reki with an arched brow. ]

Is that a request?

[ reki grins sheepishly at him. ]

Kinda late for that now, but yeah.

[tongxue]

Mm, noted.

[ he helps himself to a bite of the curry first, maybe even chewing slower than usual just to draw it out. after he swallows he dips his head down to press a saucy kiss to that sheepish grin, hand coming down to give reki's side a squeeze. ]

But I'll do it when we're alone, so you can keep all that fine to yourself.

Oh, please. I dunno what I'd do if everyone found out you're actually a little hotter than you already are.

[ he's rolling his eyes, but it's practically impossible for him to look anything but soundly content right now. apparently it's one of the tragic side effects of being all curled up with your favorite person. ]

[ apart from the sly little grin on his lips, qi fang's beginning to get suitably distracted again by the food. though he keeps one arm firmly around reki to keep him steady on his lap, he's already begun work on emptying out that bowl of curry. a sword he'll fall on all by himself if he has to! ]

[ reki tells himself it's fine that qi fang's paying attention to food instead of him, but. honestly. ]

Yeah, 'cause you like this.

[ don't worry, he'll wait for his moment—it'd be tragic to cause a mess, grabbing up a fistful of that hair and demandingly tugging him into a slow kiss. ]

[ .....in qi fang's defense, it's food made by reki so it's like. basically an extension of him. ]

[ another distracted sound and — yeah, okay. yeah. his bad for letting his attention slip so easily after what is undoubtedly a sickeningly-sweet couple moment for them. he should damn well treasure this fluffy reki he's got in his arms right now, but trust he's seen the error of his ways now that his mouth's being pried open, his scalp tingling sweetly from the tug.

he sighs into that kiss, spoon clattering onto the table as he wraps both arms snug around reki once more, drawing him closer into his lap. ]

[ you'd think that, but reki's far happier with his complete and undivided attention. maybe it's just how new they are to each other or maybe this is a fucking red flag and qi fang should run now, but something in reki's soul settles when those arms wrap around him again and he's free to stroke his hands through that hair and luxuriate against the warmth of his body. it's just so hard for him, y'know, having a boyfriend who is so perfectly kissable and having to abstain from doing exactly that for the 10% of their day when they can't justify some absolutely gnarly PDA. ]

[ a lot of this is pretty new territory, but so far so good. maybe even a little too good, which is the biggest red flag of all, but wouldn't it be just as foolish to question fortune when it's smiling on you? is it really so bad to be so happy, anyway, especially when he's not making any demands past getting to hold onto this for as long as feasibly possible? maybe that in itself is asking for too much, but so far it hasn't come to bite him in the ass yet, so he'll keep holding on until he absolutely has to let go.

cue the sounds of children stirring, of tiny little whines that drift in from the living room.

qi fang lifts his lips off reki's with a soft, wet sound. his smile is wry but fond. ]

Duty calls.

[ reki's whining too, and honestly, he's selling this whole baby thing way better than either of the twins. for a second, it looks like he might even throw a tantrum for the ages... but fine, he's getting up. curry bowl, you win again. ]

If only I hadn't had all these kids—oh wait.

[ his voice is dripping with sarcasm, but scooping a still-sleepy chihiro into his arms and watching the way her tiny face breaks out into the brightest smile when her eyes focus on him is too sweet a thing to stay mad at.

that is, at least, until his sense of smell kicks in. ]

[ like a gunshot, qi fang's hands go up. ]

Not it.

[ look, he's still earning his training wheels here. he figures with babies, baby steps are even more important, and he's definitely still in the "learning how to hold them right" stage. it'll be a while yet till he graduates to diaper-changing!!

instead, he points towards the kitchen. ]

How about I clean up in there instead? Sounds good? Okay.

[ reki eyes the apocalyptic wasteland that the kitchen has become and, honestly? ]

[ adorable how he wasn't going to ask qi fang to help with any of it. the most he ever thinks to request is a temporary set of arms, but this is an arrangement he could get behind.

besides, diaper time is fun in its own way. gross, yeah, but it's one-on-one time spent with kids who don't get much of that and both the twins love the dumb songs he makes up for them and laugh at all his jokes. a guy couldn't ask for a better crowd. not that he's abandoning qi fang to the wreckage he created; soon there are two gurgling, fresh-smelling babies shoved in front of the first cocomelon video he can pull off youtube, and reki's joining him in the kitchen, hip-checking him away from the sink so he can wash his hands. ]

[ coz reki's splashing him once his hands are clean. ]

[ qi fang's doing pretty well for himself by the time reki joins him. nearly all of the dishes are done and food waste put away. leftovers have been put in tupperware awaiting their covers (RIP), so all that really needs to happen now is drying off the dishes and putting them back in the cupboards.

he flinches at the water, expression twisting into a frown. ]

Aww, hey I just dried the counter...

[ reki, you bully. after he's so meticulously scrubbed it clean of stains, too! that kind of behavior gets a hand towel twisted up and snapped to the butt, total locker room style. ]

You here to take credit for my work? It's not gonna happen, I need these brownie points.

[ once reki's put his hands up in surrender, said counter gets a scrutinizing look over. at least, he thinks it's their counter. he's learning all kinds of things about it right now that he never knew. turns out it's not permanently parti-colored with generations upon generations of stains.

and then there's the mystifying sight of qi fang putting the dishes in the cupboards instead of just leaving them on the rack, to be used once again in a few hours anyway. his ma is going to have a fucking heart attack. ]

You didn't have to do all this, man.

[ look, you saw qi fang's house, reki. you know the kind of spotlessness he's used to. this stuff is just second nature by now, but reki's befuddlement definitely has qi fang pausing, glancing around uncertainly. ]

Why, is something wrong?

[ maybe there's a system here he doesn't know about... ]

I don't think I've ever seen it this clean in here before.

[ where is this asshole? reki hooks him by the loop of his belt and reels him in close. he has to rock up on his toes to brush their noses together, but it's worth it. this is so much work he doesn't have to do. ]
